A bit of a mixed bag this one – individually each song as really impressive, but collectively as a record the songs don’t seem like they were written by the same band. There’s some definite potential in this band, they just need to work on how to pool their ideas together into one cohesive package.
From the review: “The mid 2000s were fantastic for post hardcore, characterised by the likes of Funeral for A Friend, Thursday and Underoath to name but a few. The production was rough and ready, the energy was high and the vocals were ever passionate. If you remember those days with fondness then you’ll appreciate Everyday Sidekicks’ latest EP ‘Hope’, which looks to revive some of those nostalgic flavours.”
