We’ve reached album number five now in the concept of The Dear Hunter and it’s amazing to think how far Casey Crescenzo has come as a musician and composer in the ten years its taken. Throughout the course of the previous four records we’ve seen him take huge strides in creativity and experimentation and Act V is not about evolving any further, but rather taking stock and celebrating the outstanding sound that the band has cultivated and perfected.

Act V is another masterpiece that weaves together rock, symphony, fiction and imagination in a way that you simply can’t find anywhere else. Have a read of my full review at Punktastic.

Interwoven with the new material are familiar motifs from previous Acts and at this late stage of the story, they bring a warm sense of nostalgia whenever they appear.
