ROAM’s previous EPs drew me in because they weren’t your typical pop-punk stereotypes. They were gritty, unpolished and had a strong core of clever instrumentation running through them.

With their debut album ‘Backbone’ some of these characteristics have been cleaned up with tighter production and a focus on delivering massive choruses rather than interesting song structures. It’s not really what I was hoping for, but it is a solid album that has a lot of impressive moments.
