Fans of Dance Gavin Dance and Tides of Man will know the incredible tone and range of vocalist Tilian Pearson, but those who haven’t experienced his solo work may be unaware of Tilian’s ability to write infectious pop songs that don’t leave your brain for weeks. Debut full-length album Material Me is crammed full of electronically-tinged pop songs that are as brilliantly crafted as they are infectious.

Over the past year Tilian has been working on a follow-up album, which he states is “the most stripped back, vocal-centric and melody driven collection of songs I have ever produced.” Tug of War is the first glimpse at what this means in practice and I’m definitely looking forward to hearing more of this when the album is released in November.
